Bold and Easy Coloring Pages

Bold and easy coloring pages are the simplest on the site: thick 1.7 mm lines, big shapes and few tiny spaces, so most take 15 to 45 minutes with markers. This collection gathers every page we rate Easy, from very short pages like Sleepy Moon and Clouds and Kawaii Toast and Fried Egg to fuller scenes like Reading Nook by the Window and Teddy Bear Picnic. These easy coloring pages for adults suit anyone who finds detailed books tiring, as well as teens, beginners, seniors and people with shaky hands. Every page is a free PDF in US Letter and A4, or color it online.

Tips for bold and easy pages

  • Thick lines forgive a little marker spread, but still color just inside the line: alcohol ink creeps outward as it dries.
  • Big shapes show streaks. Use a brush-tip marker, overlap each stroke while the edge is wet and don't pause mid-area; a nearly dry marker is the most common cause of streaks.
  • Use 3 to 5 colors and repeat each one in two or three places. A short palette keeps a simple page looking finished.
  • Simple pages leave room to add your own touch: a shadow under each object, pink cheeks, a white gel pen highlight, or an effect like a night scene or a glowing lamp.
  • For alcohol markers, print on 65 lb cardstock (176 gsm) with a few scrap sheets behind; copy paper is fine for colored pencils.

Questions

What does bold and easy mean?
Pages with thick outlines, big shapes and little fine detail, a style made popular by brands like Coco Wyo and Bobbie Goods (we are not affiliated with either). Our pages use one 1.7 mm line weight at Letter size.
How do you decide which pages are easy?
We count the enclosed spaces in each drawing. A page with 95 or fewer is rated Easy, and every page shows its count and an estimated coloring time.
How long does a page take?
About 15 to 45 minutes with markers, depending on the number of spaces. Colored pencils take about three times as long.
Are they good for seniors?
Yes. They are cute but not childish. Pages with fewer than 60 spaces, like Puppy Sleeping in a Dog Bed, Kitten Sitting in a Teacup and Sleepy Moon and Clouds, are the gentlest start, and care homes and senior centers may print them for free.
Are the pages drawn by hand?
No. Each drawing starts from an AI image model, then we trace it into one bold line weight, measure its spaces and check it by eye. Our About page explains the process.
