Cute Cat Coloring Pages

Cute cat coloring pages for adults and teens: cats napping on a windowsill, playing with yarn, eating ramen, taking a bubble bath and sleeping in the laundry basket. Kitten Sitting in a Teacup is the quickest page here; Cat Reading in an Armchair and Cat Among Houseplants are fuller cozy scenes. In December the Christmas cats join in, from Cat in a Santa Hat to Cat Napping by the Fireplace. Bold lines, simple dot-eyed faces and big shapes make them relaxing to color with markers or pencils. Every page is a free PDF in US Letter and A4, or color it online.

Tips for cats pages

  • To color your own cat: for a tabby, lay a light orange or brown base, let it dry, then add stripes in a darker shade of the same color. For a calico, color patches of orange and dark gray on bare white.
  • For black cats, a dark gray or navy-gray reads better than pure black and keeps the face visible. For white cats, leave the paper bare and shade with a pale cool gray.
  • Leave faces unshaded, with pink on the nose, cheeks and inner ears.
  • On window scenes, the light comes from the window: keep the cat's near side light, shade the far side and add a small shadow where it lies.

Questions

Are these cat coloring pages free?
Yes. Every page is a free PDF in US Letter and A4, with no sign-up, free for personal and classroom use.
Which cat pages are the easiest?
Kitten Sitting in a Teacup has under 30 spaces and takes about 15 minutes. Cat in a Santa Hat, Kitten in a Christmas Stocking and Cat Napping on a Sunny Windowsill are also quick.
Should I use markers or colored pencils?
Both work. Markers fill the big shapes fast; colored pencils take about three times as long but are fine on copy paper. For alcohol markers, print on 65 lb cardstock (176 gsm) with scrap paper behind.
Are there Christmas cat pages?
Yes, a whole collection: cats under the tree, in stockings, in gift boxes and by the fireplace.
