On this page
A smiling axolotl with frilly gills floats above sandy ground, blowing a trail of round bubbles past a tall strand of seaweed, with a spiral shell in the corner. Roomy shapes and almost no tiny spaces make it a good first page.
Coloring ideas
Our example is soft and bright: a Blush axolotl, a Sky wash over all the water, Sand for the seabed and Sage seaweed.
A wild-type version works well too: an olive-brown axolotl with gold speckles, swimming through deep teal water.
Tips
The water is one huge Sky area, so switch to a brush tip, work in small overlapping circles and keep moving so no edge dries mid-fill. Leave a curved white sliver on each bubble, or add one at the end with a white gel pen.
