On this page
A round cat peeks out of a striped gift box under its tilted lid and big bow, with a loose ribbon, a party hat, wrapped candies, a ball and two stars around it. Only two tiny spaces: a good first page.
Coloring ideas
Our example is candy-cane classic: Tomato and Cream stripes on the box, a Fog floor and Latte stars.
As a birthday page, it also works in mint and lilac stripes with a pink bow and rainbow candies.
Tips
Color every red stripe in one session with the same marker so they match, and stop each one just inside the line. Shade the inside of the box darker right behind the cat to push it forward.
