Our example uses a warm Peach sky, Cream snow and clouds, a Sky ornament in the hedgehog's arms, and Blush and Mint for the ones behind.

A night version works well: dark blue sky, gold and silver ornaments, and a white snow bank.

The fringe of quills makes 13 tiny spaces. Use a fine tip or simply color the whole quill ring one brown in short strokes that follow the spikes.
