On this page
A window seat piled with cushions, a puppy asleep on an open book, curtains tied back on both sides, a potted plant and a low shelf of books under the seat. Big cushions and simple lines keep it easy.
Coloring ideas
Our example uses a Fog sky, Cream curtains, a Rose cushion and Latte and Caramel woodwork.
Try sage curtains, mustard cushions and a sunset sky in peach and pink for a warmer nook.
Tips
Give each curtain fold a darker stripe on one side so the fabric hangs in pleats. The book spines on the low shelf are narrow: alternate two or three close colors and darken the shelf behind them so they stand forward.
