On this page
A big duckling in brown rain boots and a little one in red boots splash in a muddy puddle under a gray rain cloud with fat drops, a water lily at the puddle's edge and green hills behind. Bright and quick for a rainy afternoon.
Coloring ideas
Our example uses Butter for both ducklings, a Sky cloud and raindrops, Sage grass, Mint hills and a light brown puddle.
A pastel spring version could use pink and lilac boots, a lavender cloud and a pale peach sky.
Tips
Tint only the lower half of each splash drop pale blue and leave the tops white so they sparkle. Shade the ducklings with a pale orange rather than brown, which keeps the yellow clean.
