On this page
A round smiling frog sits on a big lily pad next to a pink water lily, with a dragonfly hovering above and rocky hills behind. Easy, with big smooth shapes for practicing flat fills.
Coloring ideas
Our example uses Periwinkle water, an Olive and Sage frog on a Sage pad, Stone hills and a pink water lily, with a teal dragonfly.
At sunset, the water takes peach and pink streaks from the sky and the frog turns a deeper green.
Tips
Keep the frog's belly a lighter green than its back so it looks round. On the water lily, color each petal darker at its base and fade it toward a white tip.
