On this page
A gingerbread man and a smiling star cookie hold hands beside a tall candy cane, with a few pebbles, soft hills and clouds. Just 42 shapes and almost no tiny ones: a good first page.
Coloring ideas
Our example bakes the man in Latte and Caramel and the star in Butter, against a Cream sky with Sky clouds and Mint hills.
A frosted variation: a pale blue star, pink icing trim and a mint-striped candy cane.
Tips
Give the gingerbread man a slightly darker rim just inside his outline, like a baked edge, and keep his middle lighter. A small gray shadow under each pebble and under both cookies keeps them standing on the ground.
