On this page
A round kitten peeks over the rim of a big teacup on a saucer, beside a spoon and two sugar cubes, with clouds and hills behind. With 29 large shapes, it's calm enough for a total beginner.
Coloring ideas
Our example sets a Mint cup and saucer in front of a Sky background with Peach hills and a Cream kitten.
A floral china look works too: a white cup, a pale pink saucer and a lilac sky.
Tips
The saucer is a wide oval: shade its far rim and leave the near rim light. One white gel pen stroke along the cup's curve and another in the spoon bowl makes them read as porcelain and metal.
