Valentine's Day Coloring Pages

Tips for valentine's day pages

• Pink and red get sugary fast. Build the page on one red family (blush, rose, berry) plus cream and one contrast color such as sage or soft teal, and repeat each in 2 or 3 places.
• Color reds and pinks after the pale areas and stop a hair inside the line: red alcohol ink spreads as it dries, and a stain on white icing or an envelope can't be undone.
• Puffy hearts, balloons and lollipops are round. Keep a curved sliver of bare paper near the top and add a darker pink along the lower edge while the first coat is still wet.
• Some pages leave room to write: the letter in Love Letter with a Heart Seal and the menu board in Cozy Valentine Cafe Counter. Add a name or a short note with a fine pen before you color.
• On pages with two animals, give each one a different fur color so both read clearly, then match their props (mugs, scarves) to tie them together.
