Christmas Animal Coloring Pages

Tips for christmas animals pages

• Give each animal two or three shades of one fur color (lightest on the muzzle and tummy, darkest on the side away from the light) and save the reds and greens for scarves, sweaters, ribbons and the tree.
• Pale animals vanish on white snow. Shade the snow with a pale blue-gray under each animal and along the drifts so it stands on the ground.
• Penguin backs and dark fur are big areas: use a brush tip, keep the edge wet and turn the page so strokes stay short. A dark gray or navy often looks softer than pure black.
• Many scenes have their own light (a lantern, a fireplace, a lit window). Color a soft yellow glow around it and on the side of the animal that faces it.
• Leave faces unshaded with pink on the cheeks. A white gel pen dot in each eye and on every ornament goes in last, on dry ink.
