Hot Cocoa Coloring Pages

Hot cocoa coloring pages, or hot chocolate coloring pages if that is what you call it: big mugs topped with marshmallows, a cocoa bar with toppings and animals warming their paws. Hot Cocoa Mug with Marshmallows and Snowman Holding Hot Cocoa are quick and bold; Bear Drinking Hot Cocoa by the Window, Two Cats Sharing Hot Cocoa and Hot Cocoa Bar with Toppings take longer. They are a good fit for a December or January evening and suit adults and teens. Every page is a free PDF in US Letter and A4, or color it online.

Tips for hot cocoa pages

  • A mug is a cylinder: pick where the light comes from (the window or a lamp), keep that side light and shade the far side darker. A white gel pen stripe on the lit side, once dry, makes it shine.
  • Color the cocoa a warm brown and add a darker brown around the rim while the first coat is still wet for a soft edge.
  • Leave marshmallows mostly white. A little cream or pale pink on one side and a pale gray where they touch each other gives them shape.
  • Leave steam as bare paper or give it a very pale gray. Repeat the mug color in a scarf, mitten or cushion to tie the page together.
