On this page
An owl in round glasses reads a big open book on a table under an angled desk lamp, with a short bookshelf and a small ladder behind. Easy and quiet, well suited to a first try with markers.
Coloring ideas
In our colored version, we keep the owl Sand and Cream, the table Caramel and the book spines in Periwinkle and Latte.
A darker library also works: emerald and burgundy spines, a walnut table and golden lamp light.
Tips
Let the lamp light the open pages and the owl's face, then shade its lower body and the table edge further away. Color the ladder rungs a shade darker than the rails so they read as separate pieces.
