Book and Library Coloring Pages

Book and library coloring pages for readers: reading nooks, a little bookshop, an owl in a tiny library and stacks of good books with a cup of tea. Book Stack with a Cup of Tea, Bear Reading in Bed and Mouse Reading Under a Mushroom are bold and quick; Little Bookshop Storefront and Fox Reading by a Campfire have more to color. These book coloring pages suit adults and teens, and libraries are welcome to print them for coloring clubs and events. Every page is a free PDF in US Letter and A4, or color it online.

Tips for books and reading pages

  • Give each book spine a different color, but draw them from one short palette and repeat them along the shelf. A rainy-day reading nook palette (dusty blue, charcoal, muted teal, soft beige, warm amber) fits most pages here.
  • Break long shelf lines and book edges with a few dots and dashes in a darker shade so the shelf doesn't look flat.
  • Lamplight: color a warm yellow glow around the lamp and on the open pages, and let the corners of the room go darker and cooler.
  • Leave the pages of open books as bare paper or a pale cream, with a little gray in the fold.
