On this page
An owl in big round glasses writes in an open planner with a pencil. A blank wall calendar of 18 squares hangs above, and the desk holds a cup of three pencils, a mug of tea and a potted plant.
Coloring ideas
Our example uses Cream and Sand for the owl, and fills the calendar with a checkerboard of Blush, Sky and Butter.
For a cozier study, make the calendar squares shades of sage and mustard with a walnut desk.
Tips
Most of the 40 tiny spaces sit in the glasses, the pencil tips and the gaps around the wings, so reach for a fine-tip marker or sharp colored pencils. Give the lenses a very pale blue and leave a white glint on each.
